The Capital City Half Marathon will take place on Sat. (4/30) from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Several streets, including portions of Lane Avenue, High Street, and Olentangy River Road, will be closed at various times. Traffic delays are anticipated. To access campus, S.R. 315 northbound traffic should use Med Center Dr. S.R. 315 southbound traffic should use Lane Ave. to Fyffe Rd. to Woody Hayes Dr.
During this time, the Archer House and Taylor Tower stops will not be serviced. Riders may access CABS at the Knowlton Hall and Fontana lab stops.
CABS summer service begins on Wednesday, May 4. CABS will run reduced bus service Monday - Friday, with no service overnight (except the overnight, on-demand transportation service at the Wexner Medical Center), on the weekends and on university holidays. Please note that the North Express does not run during this time. Beginning Monday, May 9, CABS summer construction reroutes for the Med Center Express and Campus Loop North will go into effect.
TTM will be hosting an Unclaimed Bicycle Sale on the Knowlton Hall patio on Tuesday, April 26th at 9:30AM. All bicycles will be $40.00 (which includes tax) and are sold “as is”. It is recommended to have the bikes professionally evaluated for safety prior to using.
A new hydrogen fuel cell bus will be used to collect data for use by researchers at the Center for Automotive Research (CAR) and will operate on the university’s Columbus campus for one year thanks to a partnership with the Stark Area Regional Transit Authority (SARTA). Transportation and Traffic Management (TTM) will operate the bus as part of its CABS fleet.
On Saturday (4/16), the men’s lacrosse game begins at 11:00 a.m. and the spring football game begins at 1:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate heavier than normal traffic on highways and streets around campus and increased demand for parking on Saturday. Football shuttles will provide service between the Mount Hall Loop on West Campus and the Sisson Footbridge, west of the Olentangy River, from 9:00 a.m. until one hour after the spring football game. CABS will suspend all service from 10:00 a.m. until one hour after the game.
