Road Closures, CABS Impacts for Hot Chocolate Run

The Hot Chocolate Run will take place on Sunday, November 19. Rolling closures will occur along High Street, south of 11th Avenue from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Please note that the intersection of 11th Avenue and High Street will also be closed at this time. CABS On-Demand and paratransit will remain available.

Road Closures, CABS Impacts for Turkey Trot Event

The Turkey Trot will take place on Thursday, November 23. Rolling closures will occur on several roads, including portions of Lane Avenue, Kenny Road and Woody Hayes Drive from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. CABS will not be running at this time as part of the CABS Thanksgiving holiday service hours.

Road Closures, CABS Impacts for Columbus Marathon

The Columbus Marathon will occur on Sunday, October 15.  Several campus streets, including sections of Carmack Road, Woody Hayes Drive, Woodruff Avenue, Tuttle Park Place, College Road, 19th Avenue and Neil Avenue, will be closed intermittently from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Vehicular traffic will be delayed entering / exiting areas within the event route.

Road Closures, Bus Impacts for Homecoming Parade

The Homecoming Parade will occur on Friday, October 6. From approximately 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., sections of Woody Hayes Drive, Woodruff Avenue, College Road, 11th Avenue, 12th Avenue, Annie and John Glenn Avenue, 18th Avenue and 19th Avenue will be closed. The BE, CC, CLS, ER and CABS On-Demand daytime service will be suspended during this time.

Major Traffic Impacts on July 23

The Buckeye Country Superfest will take place on Saturday, July 23, at Ohio Stadium. Motorists should anticipate major traffic delays and increased parking demand in and around the area from approximately noon to 11 p.m.

TSA Lifts Face Mask Mandate

Mask Update (April 19, 2022): According to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) face masks are no longer required on public transportation. Riders using Ohio State's CABS, paratransit and charter services are no longer required to wear a face mask. Face masks are optional.

Water Main Break on 9th Ave., West of Neil Ave.

UPDATE Jan. 21 - City of Columbus has reopened 9th Ave. It has been plated, anticipating additional work within the next 7-10 days.

The City of Columbus required a road closure on 9th Ave. west of Neil Ave. (at the northeast corner of the 9th Ave. East Garage) to repair a water main break.

10/24 - Road Closures, CABS Impacts for 4 Miler

The Ohio State 4 Miler event will occur on Sun. (10/24). Several campus streets, including Cannon Drive, High Street, Woodruff Avenue, Woody Hayes Drive, Tuttle Park Place, Neil Avenue, Lane Avenue, 19th Avenue, 18th Avenue, 11th Avenue, 12th Avenue, College Road and Annie and John Glenn Avenue will be closed from approximately 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Vehicular traffic will be delayed entering / exiting areas within the event route. All CABS routes, including CABS On-Demand, will be suspended during this time.

4/30, 5/1 - Traffic Impacts

Students will be moving out of residence halls April 23 - May 1, with the busiest days occurring on April 30 and May 1. Parking lots, garages, loading zones and roadways will be busier than normal during this time. Traffic delays are anticipated, so motorists should plan accordingly. Please note that normal parking restrictions still apply during move-out.

Student Move-In: Jan 17-24

Students will be moving into residence halls Jan.17-24. Neil Ave. will be closed between the Lane Avenue Garage entrance and Lane Ave. daily during this time. Access to the garage will be maintained via Tuttle Park Pl. to Neil Ave. Parking lots, garages, loading zones and roadways near residence halls may be busier than normal and traffic delays may occur. Please note that normal parking restrictions still apply.
