Major Traffic Impacts for March OHSAA Tournaments

The Schottenstein Center will host multiple OHSAA tournaments March 2019. Please see dates below.

  • March 7 – 9: Boys Wrestling
  • March 14 – 16: Girls Basketball
  • March 21 – 23: Boys Basketball

During the tournaments, students, faculty and staff are encouraged to arrive early and not move your vehicle throughout the day.

Major Traffic, Parking Impacts March 22-24

The Schottenstein Center will host the 2018 OHSAA Boys Basketball State Tournament Thursday, 3/22, through Saturday, 3/24. Please plan ahead and allow additional travel time on these dates. Traffic delays are anticipated along Ackerman Road, Lane Avenue, Fred Taylor Drive, Olentangy River Road SR-315 and adjacent roads. Follow the instructions of law enforcement and event signage.

The Schottenstein Center will host the 2018 OHSAA State Wrestling Tournament from March 8 - March 10. Please plan ahead and allow additional travel time on these dates. Traffic delays are anticipated along Ackerman Road, Lane Avenue, Fred Taylor Drive, Olentangy River Road, SR-315 and adjacent roads. Follow the instructions of law enforcement and event signage.

6/23 - 6/25: Traffic Impacts

The Special Olympics State Summer Games will take place Friday (6/23) - Sunday (6/25). Motorists should anticipate increased parking demand, heavier than normal traffic on highways and streets and heavy pedestrian traffic when traveling on campus, particularly near the Coffey Road fields as well as 11th and 12th Avenues (east of Neil Avenue). Please note that on Saturday and Sunday, Coffey Road will be open to one-way northbound  traffic only.

OHSAA Girls Basketball State Tournament Begins

The university-hosted OHSAA Girls Basketball State Tournament takes place Thursday (3/10) through Saturday (3/12) at the Schottenstein Center. On Thursday (3/10) and Friday (3/11), St. John Arena and North French Field House lots will be reserved for CampusParc permit holders. Presentation of a valid event hangtag is required for entry into this lot. Please note normal parking rules will be in effect at the Ackerman Complex during this time.
