Students will be moving into residence halls August 12-23. Parking lots, garages, loading zones and roadways may be busier than normal during this time and traffic delays may occur. Please note that normal parking restrictions still apply.
11th Avenue Garage Impacts To accommodate Student Move-In, visitor parking will be temporarily available 24/7 in 11th Avenue Garage through Monday, Aug. 24. Permit holders may continue to access the garage as normal but should expect increased demand.
The Columbus Turkey Trot will take place on Thurs. (11/28). Rolling closures will occur on several roads, including Lane Avenue, Kenny Road and Woody Hayes Drive from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Motorists traveling to campus are asked to follow the directions of officials in the roadway and to anticipate heavy vehicular and pedestrian traffic on campus during the event.
In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, CABS will run break service on Wed. (11/27) and no service Thurs. (11/28) – Sat. (11/30). On Sun. (12/1), CABS service will resume with the Overnight and Weekend, Buckeye Village and paratransit service.
The Relay for Life event will take place on Saturday (10/19) from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. During this time, Dodd Drive, in front of McCampbell Hall as well as westbound 10th Avenue, in front of The James, will be closed. Access to the South Cannon Garage will be maintained via The James forecourt. Exiting garage traffic will be directed eastboundon 10th Avenue.
Traffic officials will be on-site to direct motorists accordingly. Motorists should anticipate traffic delays in these areas during this time.
The Homecoming Parade will take place on Fri. (10/4). Sections of Woody Hayes Dr., Woodruff Ave., College Rd., Cannon Dr., 12th Ave., Annie and John Glenn Ave., 18th Ave. and 19th Ave. will be closed 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m. Road closure details are listed below. All CABS routes, except the Med Center Express, Martha Morehouse and Ackerman routes, will be suspended during this time. A shuttle will be available to take passengers between the Herrick Hub and Buckeye Lots during the parade. Traffic delays are anticipated.
The Ross Heart Hospital TriFit Challenge will take place on Sunday (7/21) from 7:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Woody Hayes Drive, between Tuttle Park Place and Fyffe Road, as well as Annie and John Glenn Avenue, between Neil Avenue and College Road, will be closed in both directions during this time. Motorists should anticipate delays around the area.
During spring commencement on Sunday, May 5, motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow additional travel time and follow the directions of traffic control officers in this area.
The Med Center Express and Overnight On Demand service will not operate from 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 5 through 12:30 a.m. on Monday, May 6. The Overnight On Demand service will be available starting at 12:30 a.m. on Monday. The Med Center Express will resume normal operations at 5 a.m. on Monday. CABS summer service remains in effect .

Students will be moving out of residence halls the week of April 29. The spring 2019 move out campus-wide event date is Tues. April 30, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Parking lots, garages, loading zones and roadways will be busier than normal during this time. If you plan to be on campus, it is recommended that you do not move your vehicle during the day if you do not have to. Traffic delays are anticipated. Please note that normal parking restrictions still apply during move-out.
The Buck-I-Run 5k road impacts will occur Friday, April 12 from 8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. During this time, rolling closures will occur along Tuttle Park Place, between Annie and John Glenn Avenue and Woody Hayes Drive. The Buckeye Village route will not service the RPAC, University Hall and Arps bus stops during this time.
