Multiple events occurring through the week of August 19 will result in roadway restrictions and closures, heavy traffic, travel and bus service delays as well as increased demand for parking across campus. Motorists are encouraged to allow additional travel time and plan ahead.
Beginning Monday (12/16) early morning through Friday (1/4) late afternoon, College Road between 18th Avenue and Annie & John Glenn Avenue will be closed for utility work associated with the Arts District Expansion project, with traffic detoured to High Street.

The Columbus Turkey Trot will take place on Thurs. (11/28). Rolling closures will occur on several roads, including Lane Avenue, Kenny Road and Woody Hayes Drive from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Motorists traveling to campus are asked to follow the directions of officials in the roadway and to anticipate heavy vehicular and pedestrian traffic on campus during the event.
The Columbus Marathon will take place on Sunday (10/20) from approximately 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Several campus streets, including sections of Neil Ave., 12th Ave., College Rd., Annie and John Glenn Ave., Woody Hayes Dr., Kenny Rd., Lane Ave. and King Ave. will be closed. Access to the Carmack Lots on west campus will be available via Kinnear Road only. All CABS routes will be suspended during this time. Motorists should anticipate traffic delays in these areas during the event.
The Relay for Life event will take place on Saturday (10/19) from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. During this time, Dodd Drive, in front of McCampbell Hall as well as westbound 10th Avenue, in front of The James, will be closed. Access to the South Cannon Garage will be maintained via The James forecourt. Exiting garage traffic will be directed eastboundon 10th Avenue.
Traffic officials will be on-site to direct motorists accordingly. Motorists should anticipate traffic delays in these areas during this time.
The Ohio State Four-Miler event will occur on Saturday, October 12. Traffic delays, road closures and CABS impacts will occur. During the event, vehicular traffic will be delayed entering / exiting areas within the event route . Please see below for an overview of impacts.

The Homecoming Parade will take place on Fri. (10/4). Sections of Woody Hayes Dr., Woodruff Ave., College Rd., Cannon Dr., 12th Ave., Annie and John Glenn Ave., 18th Ave. and 19th Ave. will be closed 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m. Road closure details are listed below. All CABS routes, except the Med Center Express, Martha Morehouse and Ackerman routes, will be suspended during this time. A shuttle will be available to take passengers between the Herrick Hub and Buckeye Lots during the parade. Traffic delays are anticipated.

Pedestrians will have access to 14th and 16th Avenues from 15 Avenue via dedicated walkways. Vehicular traffic will have access from 15th Avenue to 16th Avenue via a newly installed temporary roadway.
