The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) continues to address technical issues that enrolled Ohio State Columbus campus students may be experiencing when scanning BuckID’s to ride. Technical teams have identified the issue and are working toward a resolution. Until that time, students should continue to swipe their BuckID first. If an error occurs, students should show their BuckID to the COTA driver to ride. COTA drivers have been instructed to ask to see the BuckID until the problem is resolved. Ohio State faculty and staff enrolled in the COTA Bus Pass Payroll Deduction Program may experience similar issues and should follow the instructions below to access rides.

When boarding COTA, students should first swipe their BuckID. If an error occurs, students should show their BuckID to the COTA driver to ride. COTA drivers have been instructed to ask to see the BuckID until the problem is resolved.
