Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. Transportation and Traffic Management (TTM) staff attended student orientations throughout the summer to welcome incoming Buckeyes and show them the easiest ways to get around Ohio State's Columbus campus.

Check out the transportation options below:

    • Campus Area Bus Service, or CABS, is an easy, free transit service you can use without having to show your BuckID! Track CABS in real-time via the Ohio State app.
    • CABS On-Demand is another free service that provides daytime transportation to select locations and overnight transportation to all campus buildings via the TripShot app.
    • Lyft Ride Smart offers students discounted rides inside the university-designated service area overnight.
    • Paratransit offers curb to curb transportation both on and off campus for customers with a temporary or permanent disability.

TTM staff also talked about the benefits of driving for the Campus Area Bus Service (CABS). With paid Commercial Driver License (CDL) training and flexible scheduling, students have the opportunity to earn up to $16 / hour,  all while getting to meet other Buckeyes!

In addition, the Central Ohio Transit Authority, or COTA, provides enrolled students rides within Central Ohio and the greater Columbus area when using their BuckID.
