CABS, CABS On-Demand Service Changes This Fall

CABS Service Alert

Regular CABS weekend service resumes with Campus Connector (CC) and CABS On-Demand on Saturday, August 22. Regular weekday service resumes Monday, August 24.

Review the below updates and plan ahead for service changes for the 2026-2027 school year.

CABS Reroutes to High Street
While College Road construction continues, CABS routes that previously used College Road will instead serve stops along High Street.

Northwest Connector Route Expands to Serve Waterman, Additional Stop Changes
The Northwest Connector (NWC) route will serve Waterman Lab and North Campus, including Knowlton Hall, Fontana Lab, Arps Hall, Blackburn House and Mason Hall. As part of this change, the route will no longer stop at Mid-Towers or the Herrick Drive Transit Hub. Midwest campus stops remain a primary transfer location and CABS On-Demand provides another option for those traveling to and from Waterman Lab.

CABS On-Demand Advanced Ride Scheduling Pilot, Bus Stop Changes
CABS On-Demand riders will be able to schedule rides up to four hours in advance during daytime hours (7 a.m. to 9 p.m.) through a new pilot feature designed to make campus travel planning easier. Based on rider feedback, this pilot feature will be available during fall semester and is designed to make getting around more predictable. On-demand ride requests will also remain available.

In addition, daytime and overnight CABS On-Demand stop changes will help reduce service area overlap and accommodate construction-related stop closures in the north residential district
