  • Riding the Bus During Inclement Weather

    For Severe Weather Awareness Week 2026 (March 15-21), Transportation and Traffic Management is providing this reminder of how CABS buses will operate during severe weather. The safety of the campus community is our number one priority. In the event of severe weather, Ohio State’s Department of Public Safety actively monitors and shares significant updates with the university community.

  • CABS Spring Break Service

    CABS spring break service will run from Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 20. Most CABS routes will run reduced bus service during the week, with no service overnight. The Med Center Express will continue to run regular service. Regular CABS service will resume on Saturday, March 21. Academic break shuttles will be available between Ohio State’s Columbus campus and John Glenn International Airport on select dates.

  • Be Prepared for Winter Weather

    Safety is the university’s top priority and Facilities Operations and Development (FOD), CampusParc, Transportation and Traffic Management (TTM) and the Department of Public Safety work together to offer services during the winter months to keep you safe. As snow and ice start to collect, FOD teams are dispatched to treat campus roadways and sidewalks. They remain on campus throughout the day and night treating and plowing as needed. CampusParc crews will also be on campus treating parking lots and garages, with garage rooftops remaining open, when possible.

  • CABS Service on Martin Luther King Jr. Day

    In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, CABS will run reduced service on Monday, January 19. The Campus Connector (CC) route and paratransit will operate on the weekend schedule and CABS On-Demand will provide regular service. All other routes will not run during this time.

  • CABS Winter Break Service

    CABS winter break service begins Friday, December 19. Most CABS routes will run reduced bus service Monday - Friday, with no service overnight, on weekends and on December 24 and 25 as well as January 1. CABS will also run modified winter break service (see below) during the academic recess. Regular CABS service will resume on Sunday, January 11.

  • CABS Thanksgiving Holiday Service

    In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, CABS will run break service on Wednesday, November 26 and no service Thursday,  November 27 through Saturday, November 29. On Thursday, November 27, the Turkey Trot event will close multiple campus roadways. On Sunday, November 30, CABS service will resume at 7 a.m. with the Campus Connector, CABS On-Demand and paratransit service.

  • Veterans Day Holiday CABS Service

    In observance of the Veterans Day holiday, CABS will run reduced service on Tuesday, November 11. The Campus Connector route and paratransit will operate on the weekend schedule and CABS On-Demand will provide regular service. All other routes will not run during this time.

  • Road Closures, CABS Impacts for Columbus Marathon

    The Columbus Marathon will occur on Sunday, October 19.  Several campus streets, including sections of Carmack Road, Kenny Road, Woody Hayes Drive, Woodruff Avenue, College Road, 19th Avenue, Neil Avenue, Annie and John Glenn Avenue and 12th Avenue will be closed intermittently from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Vehicular traffic will be delayed entering / exiting areas within the event route. Access to the Carmack Lots on west campus will be available via Kinnear Road and Lane Avenue.

  • Home Football Saturday Travel Impacts

    During home football Saturdays, motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow additional travel time and follow the directions of traffic control officers in this area. CABS routes (including paratransit and on-demand service) are suspended six hours before kickoff until two hours after the end of the game.
