7/21 - Traffic Impacts

The Ross Heart Hospital TriFit Challenge will take place on Sunday (7/21) from 7:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Woody Hayes Drive, between Tuttle Park Place and Fyffe Road, as well as Annie and John Glenn Avenue, between Neil Avenue and College Road, will be closed in both directions during this time. Motorists should anticipate delays around the area.

4/12 – Traffic / CABS Impacts

The Buck-I-Run 5k road impacts will occur Friday, April 12 from 8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. During this time, rolling closures will occur along Tuttle Park Place, between Annie and John Glenn Avenue and Woody Hayes Drive. The Buckeye Village route will not service the RPAC, University Hall and Arps bus stops during this time.

 

In the News: Ohio State Takes Electric Cars for a Spin

For the first time, The Ohio State University on Thurday gave the public a chance to test electric vehicles for themselves.

Approximately 250 Ohio State students, faculty and staff pre-registered for the chance to take an electric car out for a spin at the Smart Columbus Ride and Drive Roadshow.

Attendees had 13 electric vehicles to choose from, including the Nissan LEAF and Tesla Model X.

The Schottenstein Center will host the 2018 OHSAA Boys Basketball State Tournament Thursday, 3/22, through Saturday, 3/24. Please plan ahead and allow additional travel time on these dates. Traffic delays are anticipated along Ackerman Road, Lane Avenue, Fred Taylor Drive, Olentangy River Road SR-315 and adjacent roads. Follow the instructions of law enforcement and event signage.

The Schottenstein Center will host the 2018 OHSAA State Wrestling Tournament from March 8 - March 10. Please plan ahead and allow additional travel time on these dates. Traffic delays are anticipated along Ackerman Road, Lane Avenue, Fred Taylor Drive, Olentangy River Road, SR-315 and adjacent roads. Follow the instructions of law enforcement and event signage.

Plan Ahead for Travel on Campus Saturday (4/15)

On Saturday (4/15), the spring football game begins at 12:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate heavier than normal traffic on highways and streets around campus and increased demand for parking on Saturday. Football shuttles will provide service between the Mount Hall Loop on West Campus and the Sisson Footbridge, west of the Olentangy River, from 9 a.m. until one hour after the spring football game. CABS will suspend all service from 10 a.m. until one hour after the game.

 

 

Dec. 1-3 - OHSAA State Football Tournament - Traffic and Parking Impacts

The OHSAA State Football Tournament will take place at Ohio Stadium on Thursday (Dec. 1) through Saturday (Dec. 3).  Read about public event parking, lot closures and restrictions.

OHSAA Girls Basketball State Tournament Begins

The university-hosted OHSAA Girls Basketball State Tournament takes place Thursday (3/10) through Saturday (3/12) at the Schottenstein Center. On Thursday (3/10) and Friday (3/11), St. John Arena and North French Field House lots will be reserved for CampusParc permit holders. Presentation of a valid event hangtag is required for entry into this lot. Please note normal parking rules will be in effect at the Ackerman Complex during this time.

OHSAA Wrestling Tournament

OHSAA Wrestling Tournament Begins Thursday, 3/3 The university-hosted OHSAA Wrestling Individual State Tournament will occur Thursday, March 3, through Saturday, March 5, at the Schottenstein Center. During the tournament, “CX” permit holders are encouraged to park in “B” or “C” spaces at the Ackerman complex. In addition, the Ohio Stadium, St. John Arena, French Field House, Ag Administration, and Buckeye 4 and 5 Lots will be reserved for CampusParc permit holders only. Presentation of a valid event hangtag is required for entry into these lots.

Service Impacts Dec. 3-5 - OHSAA State Football Tournament

Anticipate heavier-than-normal traffic and minimal available parking in the area surrounding Ohio Stadium. The South French Field House, South Riverbank, West Stadium, and Northwest Stadium Lots will be reserved for tournament parking only during this time. Customers are encouraged to park on West Campus and ride the CABS bus to their final destination. More
