Public safety officials at The Ohio State University are reminding students of some of the services available to make them safer on and off campus.
Traffic
College Road Closure

Beginning Monday (12/16) early morning through Friday (1/4) late afternoon, College Road between 18th Avenue and Annie & John Glenn Avenue will be closed for utility work associated with the Arts District Expansion project, with traffic detoured to High Street.
CABS routes will be detoured as follows:
10/19 – Plan for Road Closures on Dodd Drive, 10th Avenue

The Relay for Life event will take place on Saturday (10/19) from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. During this time, Dodd Drive, in front of McCampbell Hall as well as westbound 10th Avenue, in front of The James, will be closed. Access to the South Cannon Garage will be maintained via The James forecourt.
Welcome Week events expected to cause traffic impacts

New students, a new festival and a new academic year will mean plenty of traffic in the campus area over the next week.
July 27: 15th Avenue Closes between High and Pearl

15th Avenue, between High and Pearl, will close this Saturday, July 27 and will remain closed through late 2020. Pedestrians will have access to 14th and 16th Avenues from 15 Avenue via dedicated walkways. Vehicular traffic will have access from 15th Avenue to 16th Avenue via a newly installed temporary roadway.
7/21 - Traffic Impacts

The Ross Heart Hospital TriFit Challenge will take place on Sunday (7/21) from 7:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
7/8 - 7/12: Carmack Closes; Major Traffic / CABS Service Delays

Beginning July 8 early morning and continuing through July 12 late afternoon, Carmack Road, west of Kenny Road, will close to public traffic during daytime hours for roadway repairs. Students, faculty and staff are advised to access west campus parking lots via Lane Avenue or Kinnear Road rather than Carmack Road. Parking, Travel Impacts Friday (6/28) – Sunday (6/30)

The Special Olympics State Summer Games will take place Friday, June 28 through Sunday, June 30. In support of the event, on Friday, June 28 until approximately 3 p.m., approximately 130 parking spaces located in the northern portion of Carmack 1 will be reserved for event attendees.
4/27 – Major Traffic, CABS Impacts

The Capital City Half Marathon will take place on Saturday, April 27, from approximately 8 a.m. to noon. Several streets, including portions of Lane Avenue, High Street, Olentangy River Road and Neil Avenue, will be closed at various times.
3/8 - Traffic Impacts, CABS Delays

On Friday (3/8), multiple events will impact roadways on and around campus, especially in the afternoon. Traffic delays and short-term lane closures are anticipated. Intermittent closures of High Street, between Lane and 12th Avenue, will occur. Motorists should plan accordingly and allow additional time for travel. CABS routes may experience delays during this time.
