Beginning Wednesday, August 3, and continuing through Sunday, August 14, 11th Avenue north of the 11th Avenue Garage will be closed in both directions for roadway work. Garage access will be maintained as work progresses with shifting of access, as applicable. Dates and impacts may change depending on field conditions, but signage will be in place. Beginning Friday, July 22, and continuing through Wednesday, July 27 (updated 7-25-16), the City of Columbus has advised that 9th Avenue west of Neil Avenue will be closed for roadway resurfacing following utilities work. The 9th Avenue Garages will remain accessible via eastbound Medical Center Drive to eastbound 9th Avenue. Motorists should use King Avenue as detour. The Med Center Express, Campus Loop South, and Campus Loop North will also use King Avenue during this time, with no temporary stops. Once the work is complete, buses will resume their normal routes in this area.
The Ross Heart Hospital TriFit Challenge will take place from 7 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Several roadways, including portions of Woody Hayes Dr., Cannon Dr., Coffey Rd., Tharp St., John Herrick Dr., Neil Ave., 12th Ave. (between Neil Ave. and College Rd.), College Rd., Annie and John Glenn Ave., and 19th Ave. will experience rolling closures. Beginning Tuesday, July 19, and continuing for approximately 3 weeks, the City of Columbus has advised that 11th Avenue, between Worthington St. and Neil Ave., will be westbound only. Access to the 11th Avenue Garage will be maintained, accessible via east on 10th Ave., north on Highland Ave., and west on 11th Ave.
On Monday, July 18, Neil Avenue and 12th Avenue will reopen to two-way traffic, however, work will continue to occur in the area. The Med Center Express and Campus Loop North will resume their regular route along these reopened roadways.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University broke ground today on a new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueling station — the first of its kind for an Ohio university. The station will serve the university’s Department of Transportation and Traffic Management, as well as the City of Columbus, and may be utilized by additional university, state agency and central Ohio municipalities.
