From Monday, December 6 early morning through Friday, December 17 late evening, Herrick Dr. between Woody Hayes Dr. and Olentangy River Rd. will be reduced to one lane of southbound traffic only, to accommodate roadway repair. Signage will detour northbound traffic on Olentangy River Rd. to Lane Ave .
During this time, the CABS Med Center Express route will travel southbound on Herrick Dr. and will return to west campus from the Herrick Drive Transit Hub via northbound Cannon Dr. and westbound Woody Hayes Dr. to the Carmack lots.
Safety is the university’s top priority and Facilities Operations and Development (FOD), CampusParc, Transportation & Traffic Management (TTM) and the Department of Public Safety work together to offer services during the winter months to keep you safe. As snow and ice start to collect, FOD teams are dispatched to treat campus roadways and sidewalks. They remain on campus throughout the day and night treating and plowing as needed. During home football Saturdays , motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow additional travel time and follow the directions of traffic control officers in this area. CABS routes (including paratransit and on-demand service) are suspended six hours before kickoff until two hours after the end of the game.

The Hot Chocolate Run will take place on Sunday, November 21. Rolling closures will occur on several roads, including portions of High Street, 12th Avenue, College Road and 11th Avenue from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The West Campus route will not run during this time. CABS On-Demand and paratransit will be available.
The Turkey Trot will take place on Thursday, November 25. Rolling closures will occur on several roads, including portions of Lane Avenue, Kenny Road, Woody Hayes Drive, Ives Drive, Tuttle Park Place and Cannon Drive from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. CABS will not be running at this time as part of the CABS Thanksgiving holiday service hours .
In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, CABS will run break service on Wednesday, November 24 and no service Thursday, November 25 – Saturday, November 27. On Sunday, November 28, CABS service will resume at 7 a.m. with the West Campus, CABS On Demand and paratransit service.

In observance of the Veterans Day holiday, CABS will run reduced service on Thursday, Nov. 11. The West Campus route and paratransit will operate on the weekend schedule and CABS On-Demand will provide regular service. All other routes will not run during this time.

Lyft Ride Smart at Ohio State is expanding hours for a second time as Ohio State continues to offer safety enhancements on and off campus. Service will now start earlier each day, and run from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., seven days a week. The program offers eligible students discounted rides, inside the university-designated service area, including into the Short North. Sign up online.
The Homecoming Parade will occur on Fri. (10/8). At 4:30 p.m., Cannon Drive, north of Herrick Drive, will close and the CLN, CLS and WC routes will stop running. At 5:30 p.m., sections of Woody Hayes Drive, Woodruff Avenue, College Road, 11th Avenue, 12th Avenue, Annie and John Glenn Avenue, 18th Avenue and 19th Avenue will close and the ER route and On-Demand service will stop running.
