On Thursday, September 2, equipment removal and roadway striping will occur along Herrick Drive, between Woody Hayes Drive and Olentangy River Road. During the striping, from approximately 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Med Center Express will be rerouted to Cannon Drive. Riders are encouraged to allow additional time for travel. These activities support returning Herrick Drive to two lanes of traffic on Friday, September 3.

The Ohio State University wants student artists to participate in the first ever sidewalk chalk art contest in conjunction with Share the Road. Please join us on Thursday, September 9 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m . at the Wexner Center of the Arts Plaza near 15th and High Street. Up to $175 worth of prizes will be up for grabs but space is limited so please complete the online form to guarantee your spot .

In observance of the Labor Day holiday, CABS will run reduced service on Monday, September 6. The West Campus route and paratransit will operate on the weekend schedule and CABS On-Demand will provide regular service. All other routes will not run during this time.

Lyft Ride Smart at Ohio State offers eligible students discounted rides, inside the university-designated service area from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Each month, 10,000 discounted rides will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis with the average cost expected to be $1 to $2. Once the monthly allotment of 10,000 discounted rides is exhausted, Lyft’s normal service rates will apply for the remainder of the month.

Regular CABS services resumes Mon. (8/23). Be sure to review the 2021-2022 CABS service map online and plan travel accordingly. The new CABS On-Demand service will allow students, faculty and staff to request a ride by downloading “TripShot” via the Ohio State app for scheduling and real-time tracking. Daytime On-Demand will provide service between areas west of Olentangy River and three central campus stops, while overnight On-Demand will provide service between most campus buildings. Herrick Bridge Renovation Beginning Friday (8/6), additional lane restrictions along John Herrick Drive will result in one lane of traffic in each direction. Increased cyclist and pedestrian traffic is anticipated along Cannon Dr., especially at the intersections of Herrick Dr. and the SR-315 on-ramp. All are encouraged to avoid distractions, be mindful of additional modes of traffic in the area, and look out for fellow Buckeyes.
