As early as Thursday (8/5) and continuing through August, Carmack Road, west of Kenny Road, will be closed in two phases for road repair. Signage will detour traffic and CABS routes (MC, WC) to Lane Ave. Cyclists will be detoured through the drive lanes south of Mount Hall and Pressey Hall. Access to the loading docks and parking will be maintained.
Students will be moving into residence halls Mon., Aug. 16 through Sat., Aug. 21 and the first day of autumn semester is Tues., Aug. 24. Increasing vehicular and pedestrian traffic is anticipated as the new academic year approaches and parking lots, garages, loading zones and roadways near residence halls may be busier than normal. All are encouraged to allow additional time for travel on and around campus and be mindful of additional modes of traffic in the area.
Beginning Monday (8/2) early morning through mid August, the main entrance to Carmack 5 lot will be closed for repair. Access to the lot will be maintained via two entrances off Arthur Adams Drive. The Med Center Express (MC) and West Campus (WC) CABS routes will not service the Carmack 5 bus stops.
In observance of the Independence Day holiday, there will be no CABS service, including the Med Center Express and Overnight On-Demand on Monday, July 5. On Tuesday, July 6, the Overnight On-Demand resumes at 12:30 a.m. and the Med Center Express resumes at 5 a.m.
Please note: Normal service for the James Parking Shuttle (for visitors and patients) will end at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, July 4 and will run from 6 a .m. - 6 p.m. on Monday, July 5. Regular James Parking Shuttle service resumes at 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 6.
Beginning Monday (6/14) early morning through early July, Cannon Dr. between Woody Hayes Dr. and Herrick Dr. will be reduced to one lane of southbound traffic to accommodate roadway repair. Access to Ohio Stadium, the Drake Performance Center and the towers will be maintained. Signage will detour NB traffic west on Herrick Dr. to east on Woody Hayes Dr.
CABS - The westbound WC route will be detoured to Herrick Dr. There will be no service at the Mid Towers, St. John WB, or Midwest Campus WB stops.
Transportation and Traffic Management's (TTM) Service Building Annex renovation project wrapped up in March 2021. Although not often seen, the building – located along Kenny Road – is critical to transportation and vehicle maintenance on campus. The project upgraded an existing building and is now home to centralized vehicle and equipment maintenance , storage and offices, and Facilities Operations and Development’s Refuse and Recycling.

Due to the closure of the Shots at the Schott, the Ackerman Shuttle (ACK) will no longer stop at the Jerome Schottenstein Center and will return to 30-minute frequency beginning Tuesday, June 1. Continue to track the Ackerman Shuttle in real-time via the Ohio State app .

On Sunday, May 9, late evening after spring commencement, through mid-July, 12th Ave. between Cannon Dr. and Harding Hospital will be closed to accommodate utility work to support construction of the new inpatient hospital . CABS will run reduced service on Saturday, May 1, with the West Campus route stopping at 6 p.m. and no Buckeye Loop service. The Shot Shuttle will continue to run from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Sunday, May 2, there will be no CABS service. As a reminder, CABS summer service begins Monday, May 3.
